THE KEENOTE PHILOSPHY

MISS DEBBIE'S PHILOSOPHY

My music classes offered at Keenote Music Studio in Lincoln and At the Crossing Church on Route one are designed to nurture the child’s music aptitude by engaging children and their families in singing and movement activities. The classes help attune the ear, refine the voice, and develop a rhythmic body.  My curriculum incorporates the early childhood music programs in Musikgarten  along with my original programs for children in primary, middle schools and high school. Making music is a natural, enjoyable and important part of daily life which builds a special bond between families, friends and the community. Giving a child the chance to experience music and movement in a well-structured, caring program allows the child to develop a good sense of self. So join me and let KEENOTE MUSIC unlock the door to the magic of music!

Keenote music is a diversified children's music program of high quality taught by an experienced and professional educator. As a graduate of both Elementary and Special Education, I have over twenty - five years of experience as a school teacher, music educator, dance instructor and tumbling coordinator as well as a swim coach. This is the only program that offers an expansive curricula for newborns through teens.

The Keenote Chorale is structured to place children and youth  in one of three choirs according to age, vocal ability and singing experience. The Keenote Kids-Majors(2nd-4th graders) and Minors (k-1st graders), Keetoners(4th - 8th) and High Kees perform separately and combined in our local area and our  community. The Chorale shares  a variety of songs and dances each year in special free performances for families and friends, too. NO FUND RAISING ACTIVITIES!
We support the Special Olympics Polar Bear Plunge, bell ringing for Salvation Army, Beebe Bayhealth Hospital  and Heritage House assisted living.

A great way for our youth to build an awareness of the needs of others in our community and give their time and voices to the causes!!!
