Tammis Donovan started Happy Day Music in 2002.  She is grateful to be living her lifelong dream of teaching what she is passionate about to children and people she cares greatly about! A licensed Kindermusik educator and now Center Director for The Music Class in Maine, Tammis teaches over 100 children and families each week in early childhood music and movement classes for the Town of Harpswell (serving the town and the greater Brunswick region), at area childcare centers including Bright Start Early Childhood Center, Bowdoin College Children's Center,  Building Blocks Daycare Center, Cathance Childcare Center, New Meadows Childcare and Learning Center, and previously at HearMENow!, at Pine Tree Academy's Center for the Arts, and the Bath Area YMCA.

Tammis has taken many hours of training in early childhood music and movement teaching methods from Musikgarten and Kindermusik International.  A member of the Early Childhood Music and Movement Association, (ECMMA), she is currently seeking ECMMA Certification.  She is a member of the music education advocacy group, MusicFriends, the Nature Action Collaborative for Children, and locally, Happy Day Music is a business member of the Five Rivers Arts Alliance.   Tammis's educational background includes an A.A.S. in Animal Science and a B.S. in Public Administration.  Formerly a conference planner and education director for non-profit organizations, she works part-time as an academic department coordinator at Bowdoin College in addition to teaching early childhood music classes.  Tammis is the proud mother of Max, step-mom to Melissa and Lauren, and shares a standard poodle, a rabbit, and a guinea pig named Ralph. 

Maggie Robinson has been teaching Music Pups classes locally for many years.  She studied classical violin for 7 years and then "switched" to fiddle tunes after discovering contra dancing in 1995. She has trained at workshops in Maine, Massachusetts, and New York and has been a member of the contra dance band, The Mere Mortals since 2000. Maggie recently completed a continuing studies course in teaching Fiddling at the Hartt School of Music, Dance and Theater at the University of Hartford.
