My name is Kathleen Gillie and I am a Certified Kindermusik Educator and preschool/early elementary piano teacher in Encinitas.

  Imagine That (3-5yrs.) - Hello Weather, Let's Play Together,
                 Starts April 10th or 11th.
      Extra Week scheduled for Memorial Week closure, May 28, 29 & 30.
Registration is open for Summer:
Summer Session- July 30 - August 29th (Special 5 weeks Summer Curriculums)
 Our Time (17mo. - 3 yrs)- Zoo Train (Parent & Me class)
                Starts Monday, July 30th.
        Imagine That (3-5yrs.) - On The Road, A Family Vacation,
                Starts July 31 or Aug 1st.
These short 5 week curriculums are a terrific way to try Kindermusik before the longer school year sessions begin September 10th.

      Extra Week is scheduled for Thanksgiving Week closure, Nov.20,21 & 26th.
New Families may visit a class in Summer Session.       

Piano for Tiny Fingers - Preschool piano for children starting at age 4 years and piano for elementy age children, is available. Call for a free consultation lesson.

The Spring Piano Recital is scheduled for Saturday, June 9th 2 -4 PM. Mark your calendars.

Kindermusik is a classroom learning experience. I teach children music and movement so they can become better learners. It's about using music as a vehicle to develop skills in the whole child—cognitive, physical, social, emotional, language and musical.  

Eventually your child will be ready for private music lessons on an instrument such as the piano.  To prepare children, I will immerse your child in music physically and emotionally so that music is a joyful experience. One of the most important parts of the brain that music stimulates is the same that is used for Math. Children involved in music from an early age and continue to study, do very well in Math. We use poetry and rhyming games in class, as this is the key to developing egar early readers. Children who can recite or sing simple poems or songs as they enter school excel at reading. Kindermusik is more than just a music lesson.

 

 Making music a part of your child's daily life improves their ability to move, think, create, reason and express. Music helps children become better learners.
