Meet The Teacher

Jill Vaughan has a degree in music education from Miami University, graduating summa cum laude in 1984. She taught private piano lessons to both children and adults for many years before becoming certified and licensed in Musikgarten in 2009. In addition to her Musikgarten studio, she is on staff as a music teacher at The School for Little Children in Bellaire and is the director of the children's choir at Bellaire UMC. She is a charter member of the vocal ensemble “Jubilee” which has been singing around town since 1998. Besides singing and working with children, she also enjoys playing piano and flute. 

Past and present honors and affiliations include Omicron Delta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, Delta Omicron, Music Educators National Conference, Houston Federation of Music Clubs, and Choristers Guild. She is also a member of the Early Childhood Music and Movement Association, with Level II certification.  Jill resides in the Meyerland area with her husband, Alan. Their two daughters are in college. Music plays a role in all their lives!
