Music Link Scholarship

MusicLink Scholarship available through MusicLink Foundation in Winona Lake

Do I qualify?

If you qualify for Federal Reduced or Free Lunches, you qualify for the scholarship.  You do NOT need to be actually receiving the lunches -- homeschooled families, children below school-age are eligible.

The link to the chart for 2023-2024 to determine your status (info needed includes family size and annual income) is listed below.

https://www.fns.usda.gov/cn/fr-020923

Other current information (such as medical expenses, recently lost job) can be used to obtain the scholarship even if you do not appear to qualify by the chart.

How do I apply?

Go to MusicLink Foundation   www.musiclinkfoundation.org

Click “How to Participate” on top of screen.

Click "Parent Info" and then "Forms" and then "Fill out online."

Put "Lynelle Vogel" on the School/Org line in the form. Check off "free or reduced lunch" if you qualify. Other info that should be considered (such as medical expenses or recently lost job) can be typed in the "Other Info" spot.

Complete the form to the best of your ability -- some questions are not relevant if your child is very young. "Grade in School" should be answered with a number -- 0 if in Preschool or below.

Let "Music for Life Musikgarten Studio" know that you have applied. The foundation may ask for a copy of the first page of your tax form.

What assistance do I receive if I am accepted?

The MusicLink Scholarship supplies your Musikgarten materials through Musikgarten International and reduces your class fees as well. Your total cost will be approximately 1/2 the regular total cost of the class (some exceptions during Summer Sessions and on Ukulele & Taiko classes; classes that are NOT specifically Musikgarten classes do not qualify in most cases). Please take good care of your materials -- any replacements will be at FULL cost.

The Scholarship requires you participate REGULARLY and cooperatively -- not following through on this will jeopardize any further scholarship assistance. MusicLink Scholarship students do NOT receive any other discounts -- no sibling discounts.

Is the Scholarship renewable and what must I do to renew it?

The Scholarship is renewable each semester. Returning students will receive an email requesting information at the beginning of each school year. Please respond promptly and honestly!

Piano Scholarships require participation with materials in hand, completion of assignments, cooperation with your teacher and regular practice for the full school year.
