Travel back to Medieval Times (500 - 1400 AD)
Castles, princesses and princes, knights & dragons. Caravans and coat of arms. Troubadors (traveling musicians) and jugglers. Catapults and cathedrals. Instruments such as lutes, lyres, harp, hurdy gurdy, recorders, drums, cymbals, triangles and tambourines. Children will be immersed in this culture -- music, instruments, dances, food, games, art and customs. Learn about musicians such as Hildegard of Bingen (yes, a famous woman composer!) and Guido d'Arezzo who came up with our musical staff and solfege (do re mi's). Try the Hurdy Gurdy -- made for our Studio!

Go for Baroque! Blast back to 1600 - 1750 AD. Signs of the times: Gravity is identified; telescopes help the study of the stars; the typewriter is invented; Jamestown, the first colony, is founded in America. Explorers, scientists, authors, and pirates!
