Musikgarten with Dunja is the most important and joyful class I have enjoyed with my children over the past four years. My daughter (4) and son (1.5) have bloomed musically and built deep friendships with fellow German speakers. Singing and dancing with Dunja continues beyond the classroom filling our home with song and connecting our bilingual family.

My daughter and I absolutely LOVED Dunja's Musikgarten class.
Every Saturday we would go and it was such a special time for both of us! Kathleen's German made a lot of progress just by singing and playing. Dunja is such an outstanding teacher and is truly knowledgeable. We are sad not to be able to attend more classes as we moved to the west coast. We will continue "Musikgarten" here in English but wish that Dunja would be teaching here, too. We miss her. We recommend her class highly!

"We started Musikgarten with our three children last year as a way for them to enhance their linguistic skills in the German language. Dunja is the best! She gives 110% of herself and is always trying new and innovative ways to reach out to the children. On the few occasions that we have had to miss a class, all three children ask about Dunja and truly miss her. The best part of this class is that it is interactive and the parents are involved. My children’s grammatical usage of German has skyrocketed and they have progressed in ways that would not have been possible at home on our own with one parent mostly speaking English and the other native in German. We treasure all of our time in Musikgarten class and look forward to the next one!"

My son has been happily enrolled in Dunja's Musikgarten program since the age of 12 months. We treasure every class since it provides us with an enriching musical education, a very supportive and inspiring environment, and tons of material to play and practice at home--something I was sorely missing, since I couldn't remember more than a few lines of the German songs of my own childhood... Dunja provides the perfect experience to foster a mutli-lingual development for any child through the universal language of music. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and the class is a fantastic connection to the German community. Each week I am amazed at how much German my son retains thanks to the classes. I can't recommend the Musikgarten classes highly enough.

A Great Learning Experience!!

As a native German speaker, this class has provided a wonderful opportunity to expose my daughter to a fun, interactive and stimulating environment. She easily learns German through music and play. Dunja does an amazing job at integrating various elements and styles of music from around the world into physical movement and active participation. I highly recommend this class for any parent who wishes to promote early music and language education.
